This is discussed continually on the FreeBSD mailing lists. Since hardware changes so quickly, however, we expect this. We still strongly recommend that you read through the Hardware Notes for FreeBSD 8.0 or 7.3 and search the mailing list archives before asking about the latest and greatest hardware. Chances are a discussion about the type of hardware you are looking for took place just last week.

If you are looking for a laptop, check the FreeBSD laptop computer mailing list archives. Otherwise, you probably want the archives for the FreeBSD general questions mailing list, or possibly a specific mailing list for a particular hardware type.
